Not 'where am I headed?', but 'where can I go?'

At some point I'd fooled myself into thinking that if you want to be friends with somebody, you have to be proactive, wear your heart on your sleeve, drop your guard and be open about how you feel... Somehow I've really been jumping the gun because that's really how you take the step from a normal friendship into a deeper one, not how you make friends at the onset. Potential friends would be able to make you drop your guard without you thinking about it, right?

This should have been clear to me, but I guess my initial anxieties in cell group and my fears about what was expected of me really clouded my thinking. It makes me feel silly just thinking about it.

The first day of school was passable. I feel indignant about having to get a hold of that massive textbook, though. I met Alex the Cook from Shift 2 in my class, and it's good to have a familiar, equally noob face around. There was another Returning NSman seated next to me, and his name is Moey Jun Xin! I've finally found another Moey clan member! My NTU account is MOEY0002, and his is MOEY 0003. I commented that I wondered who the bastard was who took MOEY0001, and he replied that it was his older sister! Hahahahahahahhaha....

Haha the book sounds rather mysterious : ) There was no orientation. You just jump into the module immediately, and there isn't much allowance even for newbies like us. Accounting is interesting but its also challenging and time-consuming to a point that is still bearable, but stretches my endurance and patience =/

haha i see.i've done that before so I can understand..can get very stressful for us science students who have nv done accounting before. At least ur endurance level is better than mine..I rmbed being so overwhelmed by the numbers and financial statements during my 1st accounting lesson that i almost cried.quite embarassing actually heh. Just some advice: practice and corrected practice makes perfect! Acctg's easy once u get the concepts right.

Btw, i met yew meng, one of ur discipleship mates, at bbpp on sunday. You know him?

I'm not sure if you have some special meaning when you ask if I know him... Didn't you just say that he was in my discipleship group?

I know him. I know his brother, Yew Hong, too. Interesting fellows. Haha.

Haha thanks for your advice... Its true that there are a lot of specific details that aren't always made clear in the concepts. During one of the seminars, I kept pestering my lecturer to help me clarify concepts. Lol.
