There should be punctuation marks to differentiate between one's statement of assertion and a statement of surety.
I would never do something like that. (I won't.)

I think that if the English language made such differentiations, it would be easier for people to reflect on their attitude towards things, whether or not they are getting overconfident. (Edit:271008)
I wish there was a word for something that is the beginning and perpetuation of itself, other than 'self-perpetuating'.
