They say that honesty is alwayst the best policy, and that the truth shall set you free... Looking at things now, I'm not sure if I understand the concept as well as I thought I did.
Honesty
–noun, plural -ties.
1. the quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness.
2. truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness.
3. freedom from deceit or fraud.
When I was young, I never gave any thought to a person's honesty. People can be kind or cruel, gentle or harsh, or good or bad; but everyone lies to some extent or another.
A loose tongue is not the sign of an honest heart, and a person's lies are not necessarily a mark against their sincerity. All I want to know about you is if I can trust you. All I want is to always be honest with myself.
