Faith and Unfaith
I went to visit my old piano teacher last Thursday. She was the person who taught me piano from Primary Two/Three all the way to Secondary Three. I went from hiding under grand pianos when I didn't complete my homework, to eating muesli bars, that my mom made, with her for the first 5 minutes of the lesson.
To cut a long story short, I was simply surprised to see how she looked when I saw her. She looked YOUNGER than what I remembered. Her complexion was glowing. I guess it's no exaggeration to say the having no stress can lift years off of your appearance and health.
From talking with her it was clear that she was really enjoying her new profession as a piano saleswoman. The number of details she knew about her pianos was astounding. There is a whole other world inside a seemingly obscure thing such as piano production. It was really great seeing her again.
I've had plenty of quality time with my friends this week. Ha ha. I met Kader for what must have been four days in a row. (Gay right?) Played Team Fortress 2 and Company of Heroes and XBOX 360 (I got an XBOX 360!) with my friends. Company of Heroes is such a great game. I think this despite having been destroyed by Alex/Computers twice now. I visited Jevon's church on Sunday as well. I also watched FF7 Advent Children at Kei Seen's house with Alex and Co. (add Aaron's girlfriend, May). It was an English dubbed version. Highly entertaining. Rode in the boot again.
Today I tried cutting my hair at Jean Yip. Hmm. In retrospect, my hair did not turn out well at all. I was vaguely/moderately aware of this when I saw it the first time, but I opted to give the matter the benefit of the doubt (I could do some research on this hair thing, myself), and considering the fact that it was close to my house, I went and took their package and bought 7 prepaid haircuts. For now, it will seem like one of the less intelligent decisions I've made... ... I just turned to look at myself in the mirror. This is a pretty bad haircut.
