Happily Ever After
Some days you forget to take your basic human decency out of the house with you. Lol. But that's what friends are for eh. Hanging at Ambrosia was far more enjoyable than I'd expected. The setting was nice but I can't help but think that sheesha is overrated. I'd rather buy more Turkish delight than smoke that stuff.
Post-Christmas shopping went swimmingly well; I ate the last of the sumptuous, delectable Christmas biscuits while I walked around Vivo. When I got back, I was pleasantly surprised to find the hongbao I thought I lost, as well as 3 whole chapters of Liar Game. And I think I've come to the conclusion that I'll stop worrying because I'm trying hard enough already. This is the closest I'll ever get to invincibility. The new year is coming, new modules, new results, lindy hopping, and if all goes well, the provision of fresh slave labor for the Americans.
After many sorties into zombie infested territory, I realize the beauty of Left4Dead is the way it really forces each player to take their ego out of the equation. Failure to do so results in reckless behavior, unnecessarily lost health, and a back angle left uncovered.
Heroes is such a lousy show, and yet I cannot bring myself to look away. Two hours wasted.
-------
But the day did not end there. I went for my first ever late night chilling session with none other than my own family. We drank Spinelli shakes and went to shops after dinner, from 9pm all the way till 11.50pm, which was when we went to watch Yes Man in the theater. Yes Man was not so fabulous. There was only one awesome punchline worth remembering (We had a friend called Carl once...). I did get to see my Mom's $40 blanket/towel from Muji though... Ugh...
This next statement might damage my presentation of self, but... miraculously the sweater I wanted from Zara was on sale ($60 down from $100), and just the right size too. My mom bought it for my bro and I to share. There is no emoticon to aptly represent the wideness of my grin.
Fabulous/Awesome.
