Sentiment

Admittedly, after the romanticism of solitude portrayed by Code Geass fades, I can't deny that people can't live alone, no matter how hard they try. Camaraderie, collective effervescence; whatever you call it, people gain strength from being with one another. Guess that should have been obvious. But it wasn't.

We exchange fancy gifts and free dinners every year, but the sentiments that come with them are what makes this practice more than a zero-sum game of concealed values. Maybe the fabric of the life we value may be said to be consisted of sentiment and thoughtful gestures.
