Happy National Day!

It's finally over! I think 5 months of training led to a smooth NDP for all the participants involved, and I'm glad that all the work didn't go to waste. After the parade was over, we went on a crazy trip taking photos with as many groups as possible, and then we went on to tau pok Huang Gen, followed by Lft Mah, Sgt Teh, and finally Sgt Jason. The night ended with the traditional visit to the Chompang Nasi Lemak stall, and I got a quick cab back home after.

It looks like I will finally get to open the sealed packet of blueberries that I've been saving for 3 months. Haha. I look forward to meeting Alex in a few days time, as well as getting all the check ups that I've been postponing for so long. Going back to shift will be great, as well.

I really like Felicia Chin's new character as a go-getting, stubborn/persistent, confident dragon lady. She looks great in the new Ch 8 show, as compared to her usual monkey-nosed, naive, enthusiastic, kind-hearted but blur characters. Yum.

Then there was the fan service on Tuesday night. Yum.

World Cyber Gaming 2007

I just came back from my first ever trip to the WCG exhibition! I initially went with sujin but aaron called and I met up with him in the afternoon, and I spent the rest of the event with him watching the exhibition DOTA match. I saw Mel there as well. She's in a game design course, living the dream, haha..

I got to see some rather impressive WC3 playing, and the DOTA match wasn't too bad either; They had good teamwork and the girls team had some pretty interesting tricks up their sleeve (though they lost in the end), but it was odd to me that the organizers let the match carry on even though the boy's team had a d/c on their side, just twenty minutes into the game... The commentary also took things a bit far, making statements that were rather revealing of private information in the game.

Still, I've decided with aaron that we should give it a shot around the time that I, Chris, and Kei Seen ORD. It'd be a blast to participate in the tournament for once, so that I can at least say I did something with those countless hours of playing =/ mmm.. Gonna have to take a long break for now though, until my eyes get better...
