When the music fades

The laughter and joy during a party with close friends makes the solitude after it that much more tangible. You know it's getting late, but there's still so much more merriment to be made, so much more left unsaid, so much more love left to give and to receive...

I wanted to stay, to do all these things. But something held me back. It told me that I had to go, that there was still much to do ahead, and so I took my leave. If this had happened a year back, I'm pretty certain that I would've stayed over. Now though, I guess I can, and have to make the choice to trust that these bonds will stay true, even though life and its many forked paths lead us far from each other (at least physically).

Recently, I read a really profound manga. Near the end of the story, two companions had to search themselves deeply to know if the foundation of their companionship had been real. The answer to their question was: "Truth never changes."

May all of our friendships stand the test of time, so that as that time draws to a close, we too may say that truth never changes =) Happy 21st, dude...

A deeply rooted tree, truth in the inward parts

I think I've listened to the Blassreiter OP at least 50 times now. Urgh.

Today's dinner with Wan Ling (first time eating with just him) reminded me of my intolerance to coffee...

Insomnia, I think. The Clown and the Crown

Damn. Every couple of days I get sleepless. On a night like this, I would only be able to get to sleep by about 2.30am, two to three hours after I had gotten into bed. Ugh.

School's going to start proper this week. I'm pretty glad I went for the special term. It helped me to prepare for a lot of the stuff going on now, so a lot of my time now is stress-free. Still, it didn't stop me from making a very classic mistake. Haha. I resolve from here on out to not let any sort of extra curricular pursuits affect my decisions.

'Cake' is sounding better now. I guess Mark was right.

=/ I wonder what these next few weeks will bring.

=/ =l .=. :3

Finally, I've met someone who uses =/ in smses! Haha. She's the first person I've met besides myself who uses this articulate and precise expression. Finding this out made me happy, and then I started seeing other people use it in recent blog posts or msn conversations...

Being a trendsetter makes for a hard life :l First it was wearing shirts folded back to the end of the forearm, which I was doing back in the time when people were folding them to their elbows =/ Now its typing expressions. You do something differently and suddenly, two years later, everyone wants to be like you... Maybe I'm a tipping point...

Soon multi-colored shirts will be in...

Useless Achievement: Watched TDK for the 3rd time!

The first day of school was just about perfect. I moved into a clean and uncluttered hall. I met my fellow sociology mates in a tutorial. I had a delicious lunch at the hall 14 canteen. All this was topped off by a very good night at cell.

The start of the second day was pretty bad. My STARS malfunctioned because of some system error, and I was forced to make calls frantically as I watched the people beside me registering for courses =.= Other than that, it was a decent day. Hope my appeals get through.
